Welcome back to The Mego Fighting Arena! This week we have a battle between two fighters known by almost everyone as tough characters, men said to be good with their hands, The Fonz (0-1) of Happy Days fame and Batman (0-0), the Dark Knight Detective made famous by DC Comics .
Batman made a splash in The MFC with a run-in after the tournament final between Muhammad Ali (3-0) and Andre The Giant (2-1). After appearing behind Ali, the winner, who casually explained to the costumed crime fighter that he'd like to see him notch a win before getting a title shot. Batman agreed and signed to fight The Fonz. This is that fight.
The Fonz lunges forward at the bell |
The Fonz rushes Batman at the bell with an attempted punch to the grill. It may have been a slap. It's hard to tell as Batman blocks it easily and slides to his right causing Fonzerelli to trip forward.
Fonzie's blow was interesting. At first it looked like a punch but as it travelled toward Batman it started to look more like a slap. At any rate it was blocked and countered.
Chop to the dome |
One Chop KO! |
Yes! It's a one chop victory! Batman has knocked his foe into la-la-land before either man has broken a sweat. what a win for The Bat!
Will this lead him into a fight with MFC Champion Muhammad Ali? I can't imagine a more impressive victory for a newcomer. The Fonz still hasn't moved. He may be dead. Wait, there he goes. He moved his leg. That's a relief.
Here's a look at an undercard bout between Bruce Lee (1-1) and Dr. Zaius (0-1)...
Kick To The Face Win For Lee |
Lee went over fast with a face kick KO, his second in MFC Competition. The win came after a bit of infighting and an attempted takedown from Zaius that Lee blocked and used to push the simian to the mat. It was a very impressive win for The Dragon!
See you next time from The MFC Command Center!
